Esto no podia quedar asi

it's been bloody ages.

I've been thinking: I've got to get my head around it at some point and finally I'm doing some updating. My poor neglected blog...it doesn't matter, no one will ever read it and that's why I can give free rein to my not so wild imagination these days. Libertad de expresion en esencia o...sera posible que por muy pequeña que sea la probabilidad de que alguien lea estas lineas uno escribe bajo un halo de coaccion? tal vez si pienso dos veces antes de acabar la frase.

Last time I logged in was about 6 months ago, just before we went to the Big Chill Festival with Xuan, Kim, Alex and Albert. Memorable. Simply unforgettable. We all went back to Spain on a little cloud having spent some very good and quality time together. A Great Bonding Exercise.

4 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. An over-the-moon- kind of feeling. Hard to explain unless you've been through it. You are actually making a baby (the miracle of life) and you are generating some life within yourself. It's just awesome. I'm now in my last trimester, so just over 30 weeks and quite looking forward to seeing my newborn baby's face. It's a boy. It took us both by surprise and I, funnily enough, took some time to take it in. It's a big deal and a complete different experience each time, I suppose. Will it be a Cameron, an Oliver or a Marlon? No, I don't want to know what you think, thank you. It just adds misery and difficulty to this ever so hard decision.

Free download from Lykee Li

Lykke Li (Saturday 02, Big Chill Festival) has just put a new free download on her website. a very intimate tune apparently.

Have you been watching the Glastonbury highlights on the BBC page? have spent rather too much time in front of the computer these days... but all worth it.

I'm in festival mood.

Trentemoller

I've just noticed Trentemoller (Denmark) are playing at the Big Chill. That's another bit of good news for the day.

I can't wait to dance the night away...like the good old days, I hope.

Off to see Spain win now.

Laters.

New albums

Firstly, I'm surprised/glad/scared of Pure Groove's new opening just around the corner from work..Right in the middle of Smithfield, next to the meat market, they've just opened this very 'less is more' music shop which apparently has another branch in Archway, North London. I popped in just to have a quick look and ended up spending my whole lunch break and 20 pounds which I was not supposed to.

Really enjoying Glass Candy's debut album though. It's really fresh and it makes the perfect soundtrack for  jogging. But if you are not part of the Jogging Crowd, or you want something a bit more downtempo, try Cocosuma's latest album. They are a French electronica trio from Paris...You might like it. I need a few more listens... but I'll let you know how it goes if you are interested.

Cheers.

I then bought the latest Cocosuma album. French

This is all very random

I know this is all very random but it's also a good way of getting my point across, even if it is totally pointless! It's a way of getting it all off your chest...

Something that's been dwelling in my mind for the last few weeks is the BIG CHILL FESTIVAL and this year is even more exciting (I actually feel as excited as the first time I went to a big festival back in 1996 (was it really that long ago?)! The reason being: some of our most beloved friends are coming all the way from Spain. And the line-up seems to be as good as ever. Old timers (Leonard Cohen aka God, Lee Scratch Perry, Beth Orton, David Holmes, Matthew Herbert, Roisin Murphy, Martha Rainwright, Thievery Corporation, Mum, Plaid, DJ KRUSH (oh yes) mixing up with some new names (Benga, Lykke li -Lucki-ly she'll be playing- - that's one end result of missing out on sold out gigs in London....), Annie Nightingale, Fujiya & Miyagi...and the likes...)

But never mind the line-up. We're going there because it's the best festival ever. The location, the atmosphere, the laid back staff, the buenrollo and Xuanin's smart idea of hiring a motorhome is also a BIG PLUS.

Promising stuff.

Keep tuned.

Love

Kris

Can't wait.

I've been sending you signals

Matthew (My) Dear.."I've been sending you signals but those signals have never been seen.
I've been writing you letters, but those letters don't ever leave me "..Surely everybody should be able to identify themselves with his lyrics. Teenage situation. How melancholic. His music makes me want to dance again. Everything is not lost.

Buf, I think I'm deeply in love with this song (maybe him? ;). I just get so carried away when I listen to it. You should see me when I'm in the car. I remember once I got a ticket for exceeding the velocity limit while driving in my neighbourhood. And the fine had a picture of me singing in the car! Embarrasing. It wasn't your fault Matthew.

FASCINATING.
I can even choose my very own colours...I am quite predictable and I will always swear by the sovereign combination of the three amigos. That's orange, grey and lime green.

Nothing new here.

Just came back from my weekly flamenco class thinking there's now a good enough reason to sit in front of the computer. I find writing quite therapeutical, don't you?
My feet are not hurting as much as they used to. Stomping around and making noise is definitely helping me. But only after 3 months of taking classes I find flamenco very profound and still bloody difficult. I guess I'm still a beginners but my hands are starting to look not so much like lobster claws...

It looks like things are running smoothly this side of London... we've finally sold the house (although haven't exchanged yet) and are leaving this very beloved flat.

Just moving to a new flat around the corner though. See you around.

Yo! we are back on track...

In search of Lost Time or was I Lost In Time?

Aha, volvemos a vernos las caras mi querido blog.

Watch this space. Habra cosas de las que hablar...

Bye for now. Quite glad to be back en route...

we are doing a massive clean out, but we will not give one record away, not one, that would be like cutting a limb of a tree, so quite hurtful
